Heather Birnie, a photographer and Sarah Hellen from Jwrnal visited the mill earlier this month and here are some of the photographic images that Heather took.
Sarah’s background is in Fashion Design and during her MA she discovered the makers and creatives in Wales and just wanted to shout about it.
Jwrnal ('journal') is a platform for promoting Makers and Creatives in Wales. It features many traditional rural crafts including; pottery, weaving, chair making, textile art, wood work and more. It's currently online only, but the printed version will be launched at the Good Life Experience in September.
Heather is a portrait and lifestyle photographer who lives on a farm in West Wales. Her day to day life is spent working from home, running, swimming or mountain biking. If she's plastered in mud by the end of the day, it’s been a good one. She's currently working with Jwrnal Wales, documenting and supporting makers and creatives in Wales.
Heather is available for commissions across the UK and internationally and you can see more of her work at heatherbirnie.com
