We enjoy working with young creatives and have strong links with both the Cardiff Business School and the Fashion Design course at the University of South Wales, based at the ATRiuM Cardiff.
In 2017 we were asked by Megan Davies, a student in her final year of Fashion Design at USW, if we would sponsor her Graduate Show by providing the fabric. We agreed to do this and she produced an amazing collection, inspired by vintage military garments and workwear, with her footwear designs based on World War Two flight boots and an electric heated sock insert.
She showed her work at a special graduation show in Cardiff and following this she also won the Clark's Foundation award at London Graduate Fashion Week. This included a £5,000 bursary and a 6-week paid work placement at Clarks as part of the prize.
During her placement, Megan will work with Clarks to produce a prototype of her footware, before the boots are manufactured and sold in stores later this year.
